Tourism industry in the High Coast – a journey in time and space

The aim of the project is to strengthen the attractiveness of the High Coast World Heritage site by developing tourist destinations in the municipality of Kramfors, including Ådalen. The aim of the project is to invest in tourism infrastructure, creating at least three stories about the destinations that connect business, the municipality and non-profit organisations, and the establishment of a common platform for players “off the beaten track” gives visitors more reasons to travel to and stop at the destinations. The regional business sector participates by taking part in the project’s steering group and by co-financing the project. When the project is completed, there are more places to stop by for visitors by boat, motorhome, caravan. A platform with at least 30 players presenting their operations. Easily accessible and clear information at the visitor destinations and at least three stories where at least five actors interact around each story. In the long term, the project is expected to create at least five new companies, 10 new visitor facilities, 10 new jobs and a turnover increase among companies in cultural and creative industries (KKN) by 5 % per year.
