Preliminary study Visiting Industry 2.0 Kalmar County

The feasibility study will produce a basis for an implementation project with the aim of creating an innovation environment for the location-based experience industry in Kalmar County. The innovation environment should be a platform for collaboration between industry, academia, the public sector and the civil sector, which contributes to the development of the industry towards greater growth and higher breeding rates combined with better long-term environmental and social sustainability. By place-based experience industry, we mean the tourism industry, but also the part of industry and society that creates place-based experiences where the target group is also the place’s own residents. The feasibility study works mainly through external reconnaissance, dialogue with other successful visitor regions, dialogue with industry, business supporting actors, county municipalities, academia in and outside the region, national authorities and other actors who can contribute to positive development. The aim of the feasibility study is to create a knowledge base for a possible co-funding application from the Regional Fund, probably in the second round of 2017.
