The project will use a method for conducting training on smart and cost-effective management of energy issues within small and medium-sized enterprises. The method should be adapted for industry-specific conditions. The main component of this method is an IT-based tool that enables industry-specific learning remotely where databases with educational materials and the storage of results are linked to cross-platform interfaces. Thus, learning can begin on one platform, such as a personal computer, and ends on another, e.g. a tablet, at a later date. Learning consists of three main components; informative films, schematic illustrations and feedback question batteries. At the end of the programme there will be access to summary action tips for the simplest energy-saving measures as well as a checklist to follow up on the measures. The method’s training tool is free of charge for SMEs including downloadable material. The aim is to reach employees at small and medium-sized companies where in many cases there are worse conditions due to lower level of knowledge and capacity to take hold of energy efficiency in a systematic way.
