Pilot study energy efficient transport companies

The overall goal of this feasibility study is to investigate the conditions for an implementation project aimed at strengthening the profitability of small and medium-sized transport companies, by reducing the use of fossil fuels and carbon dioxide emissions, focusing on improving the efficiency of energy use in transport. The project goal includes identifying and initiating collaboration with relevant partners for a possible implementation project, and to develop contacts with industry organisations and individual companies and identify the current situation and future needs in the transport industry in Norrbotten. In addition, the preliminary study intends to investigate the prerequisites for collaboration in this area with existing projects regionally and nationally. The feasibility study will include activities in the form of dialogue meetings with partners, industry organisations and individual companies in the transport industry to identify the target group’s opportunities and threats, external monitoring and knowledge acquisition, and exchange of experiences regionally and nationally. Similar feasibility studies in several counties around Sweden are being carried out with the intention of creating a better basis for possible future implementation projects.
