In recent years, digital development has led to e-commerce becoming a significant trading channel, especially for retail, but it is now seen that it also affects B2B trade. Technology follows people – a person is a consumer in the evening but entrepreneurs during the day and bring along behaviours that simplify everyday life between these roles. The fight is not about acquiring more customers, but about getting existing customers to shop more and streamlining their business flows – especially logistics. The efficiency can also consist of how distribution takes place last mile to the customer, what opportunities create 3D printing technology and AI, or how logistics companies can become more service oriented. There are many areas where e-commerce and logistics merge, and where our region with its focus on logistics and entrepreneurship creates conditions for the development of new business models and services. The overall objective and purpose of the feasibility study is to investigate the links between e-commerce and logistics in Jönköping County to find at the intersection of these development areas to continue working with in an implementation project. Furthermore, the feasibility study aims to see if in an implementation project it is possible to take advantage of the knowledge contained in already established companies and transform it down into new smaller growth companies. In a future implementation project, the global trends for e-commerce will be important why the feasibility study will investigate possible collaborations, fairs, etc. that may be interesting to build up a collaboration with.
