Region Gotland wants to make it easier for companies, residents and visitors to Gotland in contact with Regionen. This is through a project that digitises the building process. The digital flow facilitates case management, and contributes to an equal, open and sustainable planning and construction process, which helps to develop companies and facilitate everyday life. The project comprises 8 main activities, developed in a feasibility study. A seamless digital urban planning process is created by digitising master plans and detailed plans, working with 3D visualisation, establishing a map portal, improving the quality of property boundaries, developing the region’s e-service platform, integrating the Tax Agency’s My messages and adapting data for e-archiving. The project is carried out in collaboration with authorities, other municipalities, industry, schools and universities, all of which have an interest in or are involved in similar projects in civil engineering. The project contributes to improved accessibility and transparency in case management and faster processing. Access to social information has become more gender equal and a more sustainable way of working has been introduced.
