The project is a collaborative project between Uminova Expression and Umeå University. The aim of the project is to improve the conditions for the whole region’s innovation power and innovation activities through increased collaboration between cultural and creative industries, the basic industry and academia. The project aims to create a test and development environment where large and small companies meet each other across borders and take part of the knowledge development that takes place within academia. The project is divided into three sub-goals and as many work packages. These include new collaborations and development projects, the development of new norm-creative innovations, products, services and concepts, as well as methods and tools for knowledge sharing and idea development in sustainable innovation models. The project aims to create new innovation and collaboration models that reach nationally through industry networks and innovation promoters where exchange and dissemination of knowledge takes place to other regions. The fact that the project has contributed with lasting collaboration constellations that can commercialise and drive the development of new design, idea environments and concepts forward, and the creation of a cluster and thought platforms for new creative ideas and increased knowledge transfer between industries have been created. The project has integrated all three horizontal criteria into its operations in a very good way and hopes that the result will be that the mix of industries traditionally run by women and industries traditionally run by men has reduced the gender stereotyped division and lays the foundation for innovation. Collaboration with research has increased the transfer of knowledge from academia and the norm-critical approach creates products and services for completely new markets and target groups.
