Plant Zone2 aims to take the next step in creating the common platform for innovation and business support and cooperation in eastern central Sweden (Öms) built up under plant zone 1. All Science Parks and incubators in Öms are now full partners in the project. The primary target group for the project is growth companies, secondary target groups are other companies and the system of the involved parties in the project. Co-operation between the involved actors is in place and works well. The next step is to develop the platform and fully consolidate the broadened collaboration in order for the platform to live on after the end of the project. The project has taken into account the lessons learned from plant zone 1. Companies that are to get through a growth phase need more individualised support and thus a longer process for identifying needs. Plant Zone 1 has also identified four primary growth barriers where programs have been developed to work specifically with these; Capital supply, competence supply, sustainability and internationalisation. Programs have been formed to work with these. Women and foreigners have been an underrepresented group in the project and an in-depth target group analysis will be carried out and then develop an action plan to see how the project can work with this problem. Support for companies is organised in two levels within the project. The first level is aimed at growth companies that have less extensive but multifaceted needs in several areas of expertise. The next level will include 40 growth companies that receive more comprehensive and cross-industry support for up to three years in a new advanced accelerator called Scale-Up
