Concept solutions for BRT stations along the E22

The overall and long-term goal is to reduce travel time by public transport for travellers in the region and to get more people to travel with climate-neutral alternatives and to reduce congestion and emissions along county roads and urban areas. The goal of the project is to arrive at joint cross-municipal concept solutions for BRT stations (Bus Rapid Transit) along the E22 in Kalmar County. The project will work with a joint ÅVS (measurement selection study) where you systematically look at different options for execution at the relevant locations. A working group will meet on three occasions to discuss and analyse the best solutions for the entire stretch, which will later be summarised in a report. The business community will be invited to participate in ÅVS work, and in connection with the new BRT stations, it is planned to continue working with commercial activities. The expected results at the end of the project period are a report and a common goal picture of the BRT section’s development, timetable, and investment needs of stakeholders in the project.
