The aim of the project is to contribute to the realisation of the objectives set in the hospitality industry in Dalarna’s Strategy 2030. The project’s activities will result in joint export promotion activities to increase the proportion of foreign visitors to Dalarna, its destinations and companies. Goal Overall goal Through a joint vision and strategy for the tourism industry cluster in Dalarna, the tourism industry develops more businesses, both nationally and internationally, and thereby increase turnover and employment in Dalarna. Project goals To strengthen the competitiveness and attractiveness of tourism companies in Dalarna. Through sustainable, internationally viable offerings developed based on the needs, driving forces and demand of our target groups. Through Dalarna’s strong brand as an attractive destination and a competitive sales and distribution system, Dalarna’s products are easy to find, buy and consume. Milestones – Increase exports of tourism products through the development of 1 (a) master plan and carry out 1 (one) master plan work – Increase the export maturity of companies through increased knowledge of customer and market – Increase business development towards export maturity in 65 companies – All companies participating in the business-driven networks and export maturity seminars will gain knowledge that gender equality and diversity contribute to increased profitability. The starting point for the project is the Masterplan to be developed and will create a clear process for product development and international sales of tourism products. The plan will identify prioritised foreign markets that the project and the companies will work towards. Examples of activities: B2B – matchmaking between foreign agents and companies in Dalarna. — Communication – towards foreign markets to build awareness of Dalarna. — Sales events – as fairs and workshops on international markets – Market and customer knowledge – statistics and analyses for the prioritised markets. — Export maturity knowledge – knowledge transfer to companies to achieve export maturity – business-driven networks – small companies that in collaboration develop common export mature products – Knowledge travel – benchmarking with the prioritised markets The project’s efforts are aimed directly at the companies and the companies participate in the process of master plan, in market groups, business-driven networks and export maturity knowledge. The tourism industry’s internationalisation is part of Dalarna Regional export collaboration – By investing in tourism development in Dalarna, the project contributes to gender equality, integration and sustainability, as the tourism industry contributes to an equal labour market and entry-level work for young and new arrivals. The hospitality industry contributes to the maintenance and creation of community services and jobs in small towns with a limited labour market. — The project’s target group, the participating companies, will strengthen its competitiveness through participation in the project’s activities. — The tourism industry in Dalarna has received a master plan for the work on internationalisation, which will be part of the industry’s Strategy 2030. — The target group has gained an increased understanding of customer and market knowledge. — The target group has increased its commercialism in international markets. — A master plan for the hospitality industry will gather the companies and help prioritise the choice of markets and the provision of nutrition’s products and help the industry to modify their offerings to suit markets other than they are selling on today. This in turn creates new business opportunities and jobs
