Focus change in ownership – a feasibility study

More than one in four business leaders in Sweden sees a change of ownership likely within 10 years. At the same time, many difficulties with shifts, for example in terms of tax systems, to find someone who can take over, valuation and that it can be emotionally difficult to hand over. Many entrepreneurs do not plan for a change of ownership. The challenge applies to the whole kingdom but is bigger in Småland and the islands (meaning). The overall goal of the feasibility study is to preserve companies and jobs that risk disappearing due to the change of ownership challenge. By opening up to find solutions to the challenge, there are conditions for the long-term investment to lead to increased innovation and growth. The aim of the feasibility study is to produce a basis for an implementation project focusing on regional conditions to meet the challenge with expected ownership shifts. Sub-targets: — A dialogue for an improved support system. — A clearer picture of the change of ownership issue and the conditions for solutions. — Investigating the conditions for employee takeover Results are produced by analysing existing information, gathering new information and raising knowledge and in dialogue based on this, create an image of the change of ownership issue. During the feasibility study, the possibility of an implementation in a larger geography is investigated than Jönköping County. The expected result is a basis that shows the conditions and possible focus on implementation projects based on regional conditions and needs to meet the challenge of ownership change.
