Circular Skåne’s overall goal is that circular procurement becomes an accepted model in municipal procurement. Project goals are competence development and procurement of circular products. The project involves cooperation between the private and public sectors. Where activities consist of five work packages where the different elements are based on and complement each other. The milestones relate to increased knowledge and collaboration between companies and municipalities, various methods for circular procurement, public private innovation partnerships, methods for sharing, and development of services and products with circular properties. The expected result is that structures are developed in the municipalities for circular procurement and that a number of people at different levels in the municipalities acquire knowledge about circular procurement and that internal work processes lead to more procurement requirements for circular properties. Expected long-term effects are that information and knowledge about the project’s activities have spread to more municipalities and companies, and that production and distribution is becoming increasingly circular in order to reduce resource use, and that and more and more companies will offer products and services with circular properties when municipalities make demands in their procurements.
