The project is based on a feasibility study where SMF’s inadequate knowledge of CE was highlighted. The activities are aimed at both the corporate promoter side and also directly to a number of companies. The goal is that participating companies have become, or have initiated a process to become, more resource efficient and reduce their CO2 and climate footprint. The project will also work to ensure that Västmanland is put on the ¿circular map¿and contributes to the area’s attractiveness (for example, for establishment, research and development efforts). The project aims to achieve increased knowledge, knowledge and use of CE among companies and organisations in the region. Cooperation will take place with regional business in the form of participating companies, the municipalities’ business offices, science park, project plant zone, trade associations, entrepreneurs, environmental and climate council Västmanland etc. In the long term, the project intends to contribute to SMEs and organisations having a circular economy as a natural part of their activities. The project will also work to ensure that, after project completion, there will be a developed knowledge centre for the circular economy in the region.
