Sustainable public transport procurement in Blekinge aims to optimise the design of the procurement, so that the county can get a more efficient, attractive and sustainable public transport, by increasing the understanding of the target groups Region Blekinge, Blekingetrafiken and politicians in Blekinge, for how sustainable public transport procurement can be designed. It is a collaborative project with Lund University, Department of Environment and Energy Systems. The next procurement will be completed in 2024 and the study (the project) ahead of it contains three parts: 1. Summary of research on how different approaches and strategies have affected the outcome in the form of fuel. 2. an interview study with selected regions to learn. 3. System aspects are taken into account by studying public transport procurement in relation to the surrounding energy systems and strategies. The business community is not directly involved, but will benefit from the results. If the study (the project) is utilised by Blekingetrafiken, it will be of great importance to the county for a long time to come, as the buses will use fossil-free fuel and it will affect large parts of society in several ways.
