The project is based on conclusions and recommendations drawn in the OECD report (Territorial Review – Northern sparsely populated Areas 2017) and on the region’s RUS and RIS. The overall goal of the project is to stimulate and increase the interest and willingness of companies to R & D and R & D projects through increased knowledge of the roads and opportunities for innovation and development funding, as well as the roads and networks of research competencies that support companies to realise their projects. The project must have interviewed, analysed and documented 100 companies about their needs for R & D and R & D services. In the long term, an increase in R & D and R & D efforts has taken place at the county’s companies. More companies collaborate with research and institutions in advanced product and service development and are increasingly using development and innovation funding from EU programmes. Through enhanced innovation capability and increased R & D & R & A; R & DIn investment, regional business integration and participation in the internal market’s value chains has also strengthened. Strategic partnerships and cooperation for increased competitiveness have been strengthened with nodes and organisations outside the county.
