Energy-smart and competitive tourism industry

The hospitality industry has the potential to achieve strong growth and to contribute to a sustainable society. For continued growth, it is of the utmost importance to work towards the increasingly tangible sustainability challenges that include increased travel. The overall goal is to create the conditions for extensive work that will lead to reduced energy consumption and an increased share of renewable energy for hotels, camping and restaurants, thereby strengthening their competitiveness and contributing to sustainable growth. The goal of the project is to contribute with proposals for solutions to work practically with mapping and development with hotels and restaurants for sustainable climate smart growth. The pre-study’s target groups are mainly companies in hotels, restaurants and camping, but also property owners. The feasibility study is divided into four parts: Current situation analysis – mapping the current situation and the surrounding world Stakeholder analysis – mapping target group and needs utility analysis – assessing operational and business benefits and clarifying requirements and regulations Structure the project’s content – develop solution proposals and project plan for possible implementation projects.
