Existing and new innovative environmental technology solutions are not developed and implemented to the extent desirable to solve energy-related societal challenges. Cleantech Östergötland, a member organisation for environmental technology companies in Östergötland, has identified a number of reasons for this. In a feasibility study, they want to investigate the conditions for reducing these barriers by establishing a cross-industry arena, as a complement to the region’s existing energy transition and innovation structures. The arena will be aimed at both solution owners, needs owners and research and innovation environments to together find solutions for increased resource efficiency. The aim of the feasibility study is partly to find out the prerequisites for a possible implementation project and to develop a method for cross-industry collaboration. In order to achieve these goals, a number of different questions have been identified that will be answered through, among other things, external monitoring and dialogue with different actors. The target group for the feasibility study is primarily a company that can be considered a solution owner. Expected results of the feasibility study are a well-established plan where the conditions for a possible implementation project are well investigated. The plan will include a methodology for supporting underrepresented groups.
