Pilot study Attraction Värmland

The aim of the feasibility study is to produce a comprehensive basis that shows how the Genius in ICT method, developed within the framework of the government commission Gendered Regional Growth, can be used by companies active in other industries than IT. The proposed method aims to attract more women to the industry. Genius in ICT was developed together with companies operating within IT and based on the needs and wishes of the companies. The purpose of this feasibility study is to develop the above-mentioned method to be adapted for more industries where skills supply is inhibitory for companies’ growth. The communication material ¿Schyst¿and ¿A real man¿, whose purpose is more equal communication, will be developed to better suit the industries involved in their communication. There is a need to develop the methodology to be adapted for several industries where there are challenges in gender equality and skills supply. The feasibility study addresses these challenges. Further development of the method and of the already existing concepts ¿Schyst¿and ¿A real man –will take place together with cluster organisations and companies to be able to work operationally with the developed method in 2020-2022. All in all, the material will serve as a support to break the sex-segregated labour market. At the end of the feasibility study, there should be an overall plan for a possible implementation project, including content, target group and activities.
