Northern spinoff Business

The project aims to create a coherent and established innovation process with a focus on spin-off opportunities in existing companies. The focus is on supporting the process of capturing new ideas as well as creating and supporting the feasibility required to drive them all the way to a new company or a new business area. The project will bring together two methods in the same process, Innovation Due Dilligence lies as part of the Spinoff process. The goal of the project is a cohesive and external innovation process with a focus on spin-off opportunities in existing companies has been developed by the partners. The innovation process helps entrepreneurs/companies to evaluate and verify ideas, which in turn leads to growth through the formation of new business areas and/or new companies. The project has in a tangible and clear way linked academia and companies, among other things, through the focus on enabling students to continue their work in new or existing companies. The objective shall be achieved through three sub-goals; that 21-24 SME has started with a structured innovation process, that these have saved time and gained access to resources that mean that more innovations become reality and that they have gained access to verification of the idea and support with the implementation. In the long run, this means that companies will discover the value of different skills and backgrounds and that more young people can see a future in the region. In addition, the project will in a concrete way connect academia and companies through, among other things, student consultants being hired to carry out analyses and generate decision support on the case. After the project’s completion, the business community will be better equipped to realise ideas that lead to new business areas or new companies, through access to an externally cohesive innovation process.
