Development of Skuleberget – one of Sweden’s best outdoor destinations all year round

Winter tourism needs to be developed in the High Coast and the summer season is extended to include spring and autumn. With its advantageous location and offer, Skuleberget has the opportunity to become a strong engine for the High Coast tourism industry and a destination in the destination. But in order for it to become one of Sweden’s best outdoor destinations, existing players will take the next step in development and be able to attract new players, Skuleberget’s infrastructure needs to be further strengthened. With new infrastructure and packaging, Skuleberget can become an outdoor destination with meetings, activities and accommodation all year round. The project will create 20 new jobs, increase turnover for the business community and the rest of the High Coast and increase accessibility to Skuleberget’s peak. To develop the range in the High Coast and become a strong year-round destination, the area needs to invest in the infrastructure required for this development in the form of lift construction, downhill track, service buildings and parking. With new infrastructure and packaging around it, Skuleberget can become an outdoor destination with meetings, activities and accommodation all year round. The project will create 20 new jobs, increase turnover for the business community and the rest of the High Coast and increase accessibility to Skuleberget’s peak. The project’s activities are divided into three categories Infrastructure and accessibility, increased supply and Skuleberget’s future. The project will include demolition of existing lifts and construction of new infrastructure. A downhill course for mountain biking and service facilities including parking will be planned and completed. Tenants for plant operation must be procured during the project period. A continued development plan for the area with responsible actors and funding is drawn up to enable complementary initiatives in the area. New products will then be packaged and marketed to relevant target groups and markets. With Skuleberget as a hub, the tourism industry is planned to continue to develop and grow with several entrepreneurs offering various activities and packages all year round.
