The project aims to increase the compensation and ability of actors in the region to utilise the opportunities that participation in the European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, Horizon 2020, entails significant funding opportunities for Swedish research and innovation actors as well as opportunities to participate in European collaboration projects for technology development and solutions to societal challenges. The efforts benefit small, medium-sized and larger companies by receiving support via clusters that the Regional Resource Centre can convey through its networks, experiences and competences. The companies thereby develop expertise and new business contacts and are thus added intellectual value and increased venture capital for innovative work The project links research, companies and business clusters to EU funds and research funds with a focus on Horizon 2020 (H2020) and subsequent framework programme Horizon Europe 2030 (HE2030). An establishment of a Resource Center will coordinate and develop collaboration between new and existing clusters, cluster initiatives and R & D centres. Collaboration will also begin with and develop in areas where environmental and technical companies act. Increased participation in H2020 projects entails an increased innovation power that can be channeled to involve more companies linked to the innovation process and cluster collaboration in central Norrland’s programme area.
