DigiLyft wants to focus on digitalisation over a 3-year period in order to build a basic structure in Kronoberg that creates good conditions for strategic and sustainable work with healthcare quality. The reasons for the project are that there are major challenges linked to maintaining public services. More and more people will take part in welfare services, while fewer and fewer are included in the tax base, health care (in) must be able to handle large amounts of data and higher demands on patient communication. There is therefore a great need to review the use of personal resources and also how digitalisation is used as a tool to streamline operations. At present, Region Kronoberg (RK) is not properly equipped to take on this transition. The aim of the project is to increase the scope and speed of the region’s digital transformation of healthcare in collaboration with the surrounding society, including residents, industry and academia. The project is divided into four work packages (APs) where different sub-activities are included. Among other things, we will focus on skills-enhancing measures aimed at RK’s management, forums for quadhelix collaboration, new solutions for patient communication and developing a long-term support structure for digitisation work. The business sector’s expertise will be utilised by inviting companies to implement the project so that they have the opportunity to gain insight into and co-create the digital transformation in the county’s public sector.
