Star Impact

The main objective of the project is to contribute to sustainable development by ensuring that the innovations and companies developed by GU Ventures and its partners generate economic growth and positive global development in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The Star Impact project will focus on developing innovations, companies and organisations. The project will develop an impact measurment tool and implement and further develop the tool verification of sustainable growth for both non-profit and profit companies and organisations in several different industries and with different challenges and conditions. In addition, the project will prepare the companies and organisations for the opportunity to attract impact investments in the form of both loans and ownership, and continue to develop more and creative concepts in close collaboration with the University of Gothenburg for how social innovations can be utilised in the surrounding society. Raising awareness of innovations that contribute to the transition of behaviours and social conditions instead of focusing on new technical solutions is a key to sustainable development. The activities will be largely focused on the identification of innovative environments, dealflow, partners and collaboration, as well as verification and business development based on the definition of sustainable development.
