Fossil-free 2030 – Vehicles and fuels

The overall goal of the project is to contribute to sustainable regional development by facilitating the transition of public actors to achieve the 2030 target for the transport sector. The project’s activities are aimed at participating actors and will be an expert support to facilitate the work with vehicle parks, fuels and procurement of transport services, which in turn will support the business sector’s transition as well as access to renewable fuels and vehicles, and contribute to a more well-developed tank and charging infrastructure for renewable fuels in Öms. Through the project, the conditions for regional production of renewable fuels will be improved, the impact challenge will be met and a more equal accessibility to renewable fuel infrastructure will be created in both urban and rural areas. Finally, the project will increase knowledge of the transport sector’s transition within public organisations as well as among the business and the public. The project also contributes to large-scale regional collaboration and that many similar initiatives are carried out at the same time, making the transition easier and more cost-effective for each individual actor. The project will also collaborate with similar initiatives, large regional and national, and will be coordinated with the project Fossil Free 2030 Rena Journey, Östgöta Challenge and the granted project Fossil Free Transports in Uppsala County 2.0.
