UN Sustainable Development Goals in the Incubator Process

In 2015, the world’s countries adopted seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to be achieved by 2030. The goals aim to eradicate poverty, ensure human rights and a dignified life for all, and protect our planet and its natural resources. The initiative is called Agenda 2030 and the business community is highlighted in it as an important player for goal fulfilment. In addition, competitiveness is strengthened, customer satisfaction increases, sales efforts benefit and the relationship with employees and stakeholders is strengthened. Smile Incubator’s goal with this feasibility study is to develop processes, methods and practical tools that are specifically adapted to life science incubator companies in their everyday work, and then introduced into a forthcoming implementation project. In addition, the study will develop a theoretical framework of life science-adapted SDG criteria, methods and tools in its existing business development process. This manual should be used in all science-incubator companies.
