Impact Academy 2030

Coompanion, with the Social Impact Academy, wants to build up expertise in business and its promoters to create a more sustainable society. Adapted to tomorrow’s challenges, they create a business development support for the business community in Västerbotten, focusing on how expertise in Agenda 2030, updated business models, new financing models and a clear responsibility for social and ecological sustainability can become strong competitive factors and contribute to increased turnover and profitability. By taking advantage of the digital infrastructure in the county, the Social Impact Academy will be run as a place-independent resource/development program available to all entrepreneurs in the region and with three physical nodes – in Lycksele, Skellefteå and Umeå. Cutting-edge expertise in innovation, technology and business development together with industry-leading technology and system partners ensures that content, structure and pedagogy as well as technical platforms and tools are of the highest standards. The project has the following three moths: 1. Established Social Impact Academy in Västerbotten, an industry leading knowledge and business development support for Impact entrepreneurs/social entrepreneurs. 2. Increased access to capital and financing for socially beneficial entrepreneurs in Västerbotten. 3. Designed a model for impact measurement and policy development of sustainable entrepreneurship. Coompanion’s vision is to make Västerbotten Europe’s most attractive region for socially beneficial entrepreneurs, create a dynamic ecosystem for sustainable entrepreneurship and make the Social Impact Academy an important community builder in the region. The project is a collaborative project between several different organisations, both private and public. There seems to be a consensus on the importance of the project and to create a business development support for the business community in Västerbotten, focusing on how expertise in Agenda 2030, updated business models, new financing models and a clear responsibility for social and ecological sustainability can be strong competitive factors for increased turnover and profitability. Expertise in innovation, technology, and business development together with industry-leading technology and system partners ensures that content, structure and pedagogy as technical platforms and tools will be of high quality.
