The Swedish Energy Agency currently has 10 projects underway within the national regional fund programme. Eight of these have recently been granted extensions to last until 2021. Another project plans to apply for an extension. The extension of the projects entails an even greater possibility that invested funds contribute to more long-term results in the target group. However, coordination between the projects is crucial to contributing to the best conditions for the projects for their implementation. By coordinating the projects, they can strengthen each other and thereby contribute to better results among the target group SMEs and both in the short and long term. This project will contribute to coordination and results in the short and long term. The overall goal of the project is to contribute to increased energy efficiency among small and medium-sized enterprises. The goal of the project is to coordinate the work with the currently 10 projects run within the National Regional Fund Programme, with the aim of cooperating and strengthening the projects within the programme in order to contribute to energy efficiency at SMEs. The activities planned are to: — Plan and conduct coordination meetings with project managers, administrative officers, economists and other coordination functions. — Plan and implement joint planning days for everyone working in the projects. — Evaluate results and early effects of the agency’s project portfolio of National Regional Fund projects. — Summarise experiences of ongoing projects as a basis for possible continued efforts towards the target group SMEs. The project has an indirect link to small and medium-sized enterprises. Those working within the agency’s regional fund projects need support in order to coordinate their efforts, learn how other projects work and exchange experiences in order to work coordinated and effectively in efforts to the SMEs. This project is therefore needed for a more efficient implementation of internal coordination. Expected results at the end of the project are, for example, that the coordination efforts have contributed to increased results at SMEs, an evaluation of the project portfolio’s implementation, results and early effects, and that experiences are compiled about the target group’s continued needs. The projects aim to reduce the perceived risk of SMEs. Through the projects, SMEs gain knowledge about how they can work systematically and structured with their energy use.
