Joint digital platform for Gotland

The joint digital platform for Gotland will contribute to a stronger attractiveness for Gotland and create a window to the outside world that strengthens the whole of Gotland as a sustainable destination all year round and as an attractive place to live, live and work. The digital platform aims to create benefits for different groups and industries, driven by a diversity of SMEs, primarily within Gotland’s areas of strength food and food as well as the tourism industry, which represents different age, gender, social class and background. In the platform, there will be a toolbox that provides SMEs tools to develop their own marketing and increased conditions for sustainable growth. This can be communicative material, such as images, texts in different languages and shorter films; free material that can be used to make it easier to use the Gotland brand in its marketing. The project will also offer training on the purpose, functionality and use of the digital platform to provide greater knowledge of sustainability aspects, the Gotland brand and how SMEs can benefit from – and contribute to – that in its own operations. The project and the creation of a new digital platform and toolbox will contribute to stronger collaboration between industry and Region Gotland, traders and civil society and academia. As a form of collaboration, the digital platform represents a major step forward for the co-creation of the Gotland brand, a more inclusive and sustainable image of the whole of Gotland and the strengthening of SMF’s competitive and growth power.
