The project will help to address two of the region’s main challenges, low productivity and low employment rates. This is achieved by increasing the competitiveness of SMEs (SMFs) in one of the regions’ clearest areas of strength, foodtech. The project will make industrial environments available (demonstrators) where SMEs in different areas of food can develop products, processes and concepts together with technical knowledgeable support. The companies will also be offered training as well as innovation and growth support. In parallel, a vibrant community within Foodtech is being built up that creates additional value, with the goal being that the community will remain and continue to support companies after the end of the project. The project is expected to generate at least 150 full-time services within Skåne and Blekinge during the project period and in the long term 1000 full-time services. The project will be run in collaboration between Innovation Skåne, Lund University/LTH, Netport Science Park and Packbridge.
