Crisis support for technology-based growth companies

The overall goal of the project is to support innovative technology-based growth companies in the Stockholm region to make it better through the Covid-19 crisis. The international competitiveness and growth opportunities of small and medium-sized technology-focused companies will thus be strengthened so that they can continue to grow after the crisis. The project goal is that more technology-based growth companies established in recent years should have received support to survive the crisis better than if they had not received the project’s support. The ambition is that at least 50 % of the companies if they receive extensive support from the project will survive and remain 2 years after the end of the project. Sub-target 1: At least 100 technology-based growth companies must have received information about the individual business advice project can offer to help companies manage the effects of the crisis. At least 300 other technology-based growth companies must have received information about the shorter individual business advice offered by Sting to deal with the effects of the crisis. The effect is that these companies should have detailed knowledge of what kind of support is available from different actors in the region and how to get access to it. Sub-target 2: At least 90 technology-based growth companies, started in the past 35 years, are expected to have received extensive crisis business advice in business development, personnel and team development, finance and finance. The effect is that the participating companies have a higher competence in order to make it through this and possibly future crises. Sub-target 3: An additional 200 technology-based growth companies will have received shorter individual business advice to gain knowledge on how to concretely manage the effects of the crisis. The effect is that the participating companies have a higher competence in order to make it through this and possibly future crises. Sub-target 4: Approximately 40-50 fully started technology companies should be helped to verify their idea from market, technology and financing considerations before they make a decision to start. 400 people who are now laid off are expected to meet with business advisors to start a technology-based growth company. Sub-target 5: Increase capacity with qualified business advice in the incubator in order to bring in more companies. Sub-target 6: To provide an even larger target group of potential new technology companies access to Sting’s proven business development methods and knowledge, a web-based software for business development will be developed and launched. The goal is to democratise the supply of knowledge on how to start and develop a technology-based growth company to a larger target group. The goal is for at least 50 participants to review the programme.
