In particular investment support to the hospitality industry based on the Corona pandemic/CV19

Within a framework programme, Jämtland Härjedalen intends to design offers of corporate support for the hospitality industry in order to mitigate the negative effects of the corona crisis on small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) in Jämtland County, through transition efforts based on changing market conditions and customer behaviour. The support intends to go to system-critical companies and organisations, with the potential to reach and influence many companies, who had a healthy economy and growth potential before the crisis and are expected to be able to change and strengthen operations with good business potential, Post Corona. Given that the Covid 19/corona pandemic is the worst crisis that Jämtländskt industry has experienced in modern times, particularly linked to the tourism industry, the long-term goal is that we with the framework programme add support for investments and increased competitiveness for systemically important SMEs over a longer period of time and with increased amounts (up to SEK 1 500 000) linked to the other framework programme that Region Jämtland Härjedalen offers with a focus on conversion cheques in smaller amounts (SEK 150). Since the effects of Covid-19 will not be clear in the near future for the hospitality industry, the framework project needs to have the flexibility to be able to design support that SME needs throughout the county during the implementation period. The framework programme will therefore have flexibility in both activities and support levels that are designed together with the industry with both soft and hard investments that primarily focus on actions in sustainable service and product development, sustainable business development, marketing towards new target groups, investments to digitise and corporate development skills to broaden the business. Support may also be paid for investment costs for the purchase of machinery/inventory that contribute to long-term sustainable development of the business.
