The pandemic has forced us people to change how we travel to everyday life and how we work. Many people work from home and the proportion of digital meetings has increased drastically. At the same time, the share of public transport travel has decreased and the number of road trips has increased. Transport Efficient Kronoberg’s overall goal is to, through the pandemic’s new conditions, contribute to streamlining the transition from fossil-free transport to fossil-free transport in order to contribute to the transport policy goal of fossil-free transport by 2045. The project goal is for the project to contribute to the goal of fossil-free transport in 2030 in Kronoberg County (which was decided by the Kronoberg County Administrative Board in 2013). The project will work with the green transport plan method. A green transport plan maps, analyses, comes with proposals for measures and evaluates these together with the workplaces based on their conditions. For example, the measures to streamline the transport of workplaces may include: — Employees will try to travel to and from work with electric bikes, electric cars, public transport and/or carpooling and try working from a work hub (a workplace closer to home). — Workplaces introduce measures that make it cycle-friendly (more) and measures to make the services and visits more fossil-free. — Knowledge-enhancing services in work travel, business trips and visiting trips. The project is permeated by constantly taking advantage of lessons along the way and adapting activities and measures for workplaces. Develop a greener BESÖKSNÄRING The project also focuses on visits and the tourism industry. Holidaying at home is a trend that has increased, not least in connection with the pandemic. The project will cooperate with the tourism industry to develop how visitors travel to destinations and destinations. Visitors will be able to test carpooling, public transport and bicycle when they visit destinations and destinations in the county. 15-25 WORKSPLATS IN PROJECTS Workplaces that will participate in the project are primarily private but also public. They have been involved in designing the activities in Transport Efficient Kronoberg. The goal is that 15-25 workplaces, which together have up to 30,000 employees, participate in the project and reduce their carbon dioxide emissions by 2023.
