Preliminary study: Digital innovation platform for public sector

The development of existing and new digital services that can contribute to the development of well-being is an important issue in society. Particularly important is to facilitate the co-operation and development of such services across organisational boundaries and sectoral boundaries, where the need to utilise innovation power among SMEs is significant. To speed up this development, there is a identified need for an integrated, secure and stable digital innovation platform as a key issue to lower the threshold for innovation and development. A digital innovation platform will play an important role in facilitating cooperation and co-development between public actors and the private sector of new and better accessible services for both private individuals and companies. Development of digital services for the public sector also has good potential for commercialisation, thereby contributing to the emergence of new and growing SMEs in the GovTech area. The feasibility study will create a picture of the current situation and the needs of companies and the public sector for the development of a digital innovation platform. This in itself raises questions about new forms of collaboration, sustainable business models and digital transformation, which can promote transition. The analysis of the feasibility study also ensures that an implementation project creates real benefits, from the perspectives of both the public sector and private companies. The feasibility study also aims to create an anchoring and participation in the whole of Västernorrland ahead of an implementation project.
