Capacity challenges Region Örebro County

The feasibility study will by mapping out the role Region Örebro County should take in the capacity and effect issue. The study is expected to answer whether the Region should take greater overall responsibility for the capacity challenges that exist. The focus will be on the network development plans that regional and local network owners will soon have to produce and what inputs are needed and what is available today. This may involve, for example, municipal state planning, municipal energy plans, large property owners and industrial strategies, as well as the plans and strategies of other regional and local network owners. Should these inputs need to be developed, will the feasibility study highlight the region’s role in this and whether the Region can be a support in their development? To get information about what data is needed, discussions will be conducted with E.ON. Correctly used, the network development plans could become the hub in managing the challenges of lack of capacity in electricity grids and thereby drive the work to have a good access to power ahead in Örebro County. The network development plans will only be as good as the input they receive and this feasibility study helps to create good conditions for the development of these plans.
