The overall goal of the feasibility study is to investigate SMEs’ needs for a Social Impact Academy, conditions for the development of a Social Impact Academy and for participation from potential companies, collaborators, stakeholders, and to create the basis for an implementation project. The project has specific goals for sustainability aspects. Gender distribution among the participating actors in the feasibility study should be even and participation in the feasibility study activities must be adapted and accessible regardless of functional variation. The focus and outcome of the feasibility study should be traced to activities that can reduce environmental impact and increased sustainability in line with Agenda 2030. The project will conduct dialogue with companies and conduct interviews. Project management and collaboration partners are responsible for sustainability aspects in the feasibility study. A theory of change will be developed and during this work, a swot analysis of the implementation project will be conducted, as one of the basis for a forthcoming application. Among the activities can be mentioned: Exchange of experience with other actors in order to benefit from each other’s knowledge acquisition, existing contacts, methods, experience and financing solutions that can form the basis for future knowledge and business development support for the target group in the Stockholm region. Stakeholder mapping. Dialogue with potential partners with the ambition to establish a reference group and a strong partner network for upcoming implementation projects (co-operation projects), and create collaboration agreements for future implementation projects. Needs analysis Examine the target group’s needs and potential for increased innovation and growth to ensure that efforts in a future implementation project are relevant to the target group. Digital in-depth interviews by SME and with experts in impact, internationalisation and growth, as well as in-depth interviews with investors and venture capitalists linked to impact entrepreneurship. External analysis Take part of studies, evaluations and lessons learned from previous initiatives and projects that can form the basis for the design of an implementation project. The feasibility study will contact a selection of SMEs within the seven areas of strength in RUFS 2050 where the business sector is at the forefront. The specific selection of areas and companies will be affected by the established network created by Coompanion and collaborative actors and the interest from cluster organisations and individual companies to participate. In addition to searching for companies in specific industry areas, the idea is to find driven innovators and social entrepreneurs who want to build and develop long-term businesses that address global goals and contribute to societal benefits in existing businesses and new companies. The expected results and benefits at the end of the project period include an analysis of similar initiatives in the public and private sectors in Sweden, an increased understanding of the business promotion system, the public sector and the business community about the needs and efforts that can promote SMEs in the Stockholm region with growth potential and interest in sustainable business/social entrepreneurry, a documented interest in potential local, regional and national partners for a future implementation project, and the development of a basis for a clear change logic in an implementation project.
