This pre-study aims to investigate the conditions for a development hub linked to foodstuffs. It has been identified, in already ongoing projects, that small and medium-sized enterprises in the food industry have an identified need for and demand support and activities that a food development hub can offer. It has also been identified that a broader offering is needed to develop the industry. This feasibility study will investigate detailed needs in order to then be able to implement and offer appropriate activities in a future project, which builds on what is worth taking along from the already ongoing Matlust project. The intention is for an upcoming project to include new support programmes aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises as well as a geographical expansion. The aim of the feasibility study is to answer which offers should be included, what the prerequisites are for a broader offer, both thematic and geographical, which partners should be included and what ownership should look like in a future project. Closing is expected to have a good foundation for formulating a new implementation project that strengthens competitiveness and strategic cooperation in the food sector, with the aim of providing sustainable food in the Stockholm region.
