The main objective of the project will be to develop a product (key) and process innovation characterised by novelty in Poland, in the form of an unprecedented technological treatment method (through micronisation process) of national feed protein sources, enabling the development and preparation for implementation of a package of new types of feed in turkey breeding, in which the share of national sources of vegetable protein will be significantly increased, while aiming at: eliminate from the diet of turkeys genetically modified soy (GM), improve: digestibility, digestibility and safety of new feed materials. The project will cover 4 phases: E1-E3 (industrial research) and E4 (development). The planned objectives of the project will be developed on the basis of the Applicant’s experience in the production of feed (including innovative) and the development of new formulations and research into their properties in turkey farming. The ingredients developed will be tested in the process of balancing the composition of feed, in order to achieve better nutritional properties. They will then be tested in turkey farming to improve the welfare of birds, to ensure greater fattening efficiency and to confirm the possibility of changing the source of protein in the production of feed. The project will affect the development of the Applicant and will contribute to increasing the protein safety of the country for feed and food purposes under conditions of sustainable development by minimising the amount of protein from GM soybean meal in turkey nutrition. The target groups will be producers/farmers of turkeys and indirectly consumers of meat products and the Applicant himself, who will become a leader in the micronisation technology of national protein sources (and their use in turkey feed. No wider provision is excluded developed
