The aim of the project is to build a geothermal heating plant together with the construction of an injecting geothermal opening Wheel GT-2. The investment aims to decarbonise the district heating system of the city of Koło by reducing the use of currently used coal boilers for the use of geothermal energy for the production of heat. The geothermal heat room will be based on the work of the geothermal double, i.e. two geothermal holes: the completed operating hole of the GT-1 wheel and the designed injection hole GT-2 Wheel. Energy production will consist of direct heat exchange between geothermal water from the GT-1 wheel hole and mains water. Heat exchange will be carried out through plated, twisted heat exchangers with a maximum capacity of about 11.5 MW. The number of heat exchangers is defined as 3 units connected in parallel system, of which two are intended for operation and one is a reserve.
