All investment tasks covered by the Project are located within the administrative boundaries of the Municipality of Olsztyn. The aim of the task is to modernise sections of the district heating network with low energy transmission efficiency (high heat loss). The project is a continuation of the project entitled “Reconstruction of the heat distribution system in Olsztyn through the use of energy-efficient solutions”, implemented in the years 2007-2015 under Measure 9.2 Effective Energy Distribution of the OPIiE. The eight tasks consist of replacing sections of the existing district heating network made in an outdated duct or overhead technology, which currently generates significant heat losses, with modern pre-insulated pipelines, which will significantly reduce heat losses for transmission.
