The aim of the project is to create an infrastr. to make digitised resources available free of charge. The data comes from the resources of the Biobank WBiOŚ UŁ studio, relating to human genetics. A part of the Populous collection will be digitised – a collection of biological material collected from the inhabitants of Poland, illustrating the demographic structure of the country. The end products will be digitised full genomes and full exons of Poles from 750 anonymous donors from a group of over 10,000 volunteers. This selection reduces the risk of donor deanonymisation and is a common practice that has been applied e.g. during the 1000 Genome Project. The data provided in this way will provide valuable information on the genomics of the Polish population, closing the knowledge gap in this area. In the world’s largest repository aggregating genomic data from various databases and repositories – NCBI – there are about 1.8 TB of genomic data on the Polish population. O
