The main objective of the project is to implement the National Programme for Early Lung Detection (WWRP) by means of Low Dose ComputingTomography (NDTK) – a combination of secondary and primary prevention to improve awareness of lung cancer among the public and health care personnel. The main task of the prophylactic program is to improve the detection of lung cancer at an early stage of its development by performing low-dose computed tomography (NDTK) in a well-defined high risk group. The area of activity will be the Western macro-region comprising the following provinces: Lubuskie, Wielkopolska and Zachodniopomorskie- in the period from 01.03.2020 to 30.06.2023. The programme is in line with the objectives of the OP KED in particular, it is in line with the specific objective of Axis V Implementation and development of preventive programmes in the field of diseases adversely affecting labour resources dedicated to people of working age and objective 8 Promoting sustainable and high-quality employment and labour mobility.In addition to the above-mentioned basic medical objective, which will be the examination of low-dose computer tomography, the implementation of the programme will also include a very important educational element, addressed to medical personnel: doctors (doctors of POZ, pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, radiologists), nursing staff and medical support staff.The medical services include, in addition to the NDTK examination itself: a qualifying visit for the NDTK thoracic examination, combined with an anti-smoking component and a visit to the NDTK study (with discussion of the results of the NDTK and finding further recommendations). The actions described above will be implemented in accordance with the scope of the preventive programme.
