The project aims to improve access to psychiatric care for children and young people thanks to the training of staff providing mental health services for children and young people. The system of psychiatric care for children and young people in Poland does not meet the growing needs in the field of mental health protection of this group.Across the country, the centers face the problem of lack of qualified staff specialising in mental health care of the developmental population. This applies to both children’s psychiatrists and other professions dealing with the mental health of children and adolescents. In order to guarantee adequate mental health care for children and young people, cooperation is needed between professionals from different levels of care (not only outpatient or hospital psychiatric care, but also at the level of the family system, education system, psycho-pedagogical clinics, socio-therapeutic and educational centres, social assistance centres, community centres, etc.). The project involves the implementation of training courses covered by programmes approved by the Ministry of Health in the field of: 1.Clinical psychology (primary and detailed block) of children and adolescents, 2.psychotherapy of children and adolescents, and trainings covering educational outcomes relevant to the qualifications included in the ZSK 3.environmental therapy of children and adolescents, as well as 4.other courses or trainings in the field of psychiatry of children and adolescents, in the period from 1 October 2019 to 31 August 2023 (adequate to the defined limits of eligibility of expenditure in the 2014-2020 financial perspective) in Małopolska and Świętokrzyskie voivodship.
