The project concerns the modernisation of heating systems in 510 residential units located in 46 multi-family residential buildings belonging to the Municipality of Wrocław. The project is part of the Low-Emission Economy Programme. The project is the third stage of the project for the decommissioning of coal heat sources. The beneficiary of the project is the Municipality of Wrocław. The project will be carried out with the participation of the municipal unit of the Municipal Management Board (the entity implementing the project), which will also perform the functions of the Project Operator. The scope of the project includes: • Decommissioning of 641 solid fuel furnaces and electric water heaters and construction of central heating and hot water installations connected to the municipal district heating network in buildings managed by ZZK – construction and assembly works • Training of residents on the use of modernised heating systems • Promotion activities within the project for the supply and installation of information and commemorative boards • Education activities to improve the environmental awareness of residents. By modernising heat sources, the project will contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and PM10 and PM2.5 emissions. The investment will be carried out in the years 2019-2022, under 47 public procurement contracts. The project management system at the implementation stage will guarantee its smooth implementation in accordance with the agreed timetable and smooth settlements with the co-financing institution. The optimal performance technology was chosen, i.e. one that, with reasonable expenditure, will achieve the objectives of the project. The beneficiary has the organisational and financial capacity to implement the Project. During the required durability period (5 years from the date of the final payment to the beneficiary), the beneficiary does not foresee a modification of the project that would violate the principle of the sustainability of the project.
