Reduction of tower emissions in the housing stock of the Municipality of Wrocław by decommissioning coal heat sources – Stage 2

The project concerns the modernisation of heating systems in 498 residential units located in 60 multi-family residential buildings in buildings belonging to the Municipality of Wrocław. The building manager is Wrocławskie Mieszkania Sp. z o.o. The project is the 2nd stage of the project for the decommissioning of coal heat sources. It was included in the Low-Emission Economy Programme for WrOF. The beneficiary of the project is the Municipality of Wrocław. The investment is divided into 2 tasks: • Task 1 – Decommissioning of solid fuel furnaces and electric water heaters and construction of central heating and hot water installations connected to the municipal district heating network – decommissioning of 458 furnaces, • Task No 2 – Decommissioning of solid fuel furnaces and electric water heaters and construction of central heating and hot water installations with individual heat source – dual-function gas boiler – decommissioning of 163 furnaces. The scope of the project also includes: •Training residents on the use of modernised heating systems •Promotional activities within the framework of the Project for the supply and installation of information and commemorative boards •Educational activities to improve the environmental awareness of residents. The investment will be carried out in 2020-2022, under 15 public procurement contracts. The Project Manager will be the Municipality of Wrocław, with the help of Wrocławskie Mieszko Sp. z o.o. (WM Sp. z o.o.) The Project Management System at the implementation stage will guarantee its smooth implementation according to the agreed schedule and seamless settlements with the co-financing institution. The optimal performance technology was chosen, i.e. one that, with reasonable expenditure, will achieve the objectives of the project. The beneficiary has the organisational and financial capacity to implement the Project. During the period of required durability, the Beneficiary does not foresee a modification of the Project that violates the principle of project sustainability
