Construction of bicycle roads in Wrocław – stage II

The object of the project is the reconstruction of 0.24 km and the construction of 8.07 km (total 8.31 km) of bicycle roads in the Municipality of Wrocław, located in the ZIT WrOF in order to ensure the continuity of transport in the urban system of Wrocław. Planned for implementation: 1. construction of bicycle roads near the streets: Solski; Wyszynski; In Grobli – Wallońska – pl. Wróblewski; al. Krkonoše – Silesian Insurgents; Podwale – Paris Commune – Krasiński; Piłsudski; Dworcowa; 2. reconstruction of the bicycle road at Swobodna Street; 3. construction of a Bike and Ride facility at the Wrocław Leśnica tram loop. This will allow the integration of cycling with public transport, including tram. The investments will be carried out mainly in the lane of existing roads. The main criteria for the selection of tasks were to ensure the coherence of the cycling system in order to create an alternative to individual transport, particularly over distances of up to 10 km, to combine important sources and destinations of bicycle journeys, and to link the cycling system to the functions of the city and the needs of users. The entity responsible for preparing and implementing the Project on behalf of the Municipality of Wrocław is Wrocławskie IInveste Sp. z o.o. and the Road and Maintenance Board in Wrocław. All planned investments have the necessary building decisions and project documentation. The project is technically and technologically feasible – solutions have been adopted that guarantee high quality, durability and functionality, with cost savings at the stage of investment and subsequent operation. The applied work technology ensures the implementation of the investment within the set deadline.
