Improving flood safety for the City of Bolesławiec by modernising and expanding the rainwater management system

The investment is aimed at increasing the flood safety of the Municipality of Bolesławiec, responding to the increasing climate change in particular in terms of long-term and torrential rainfall. The project will therefore be implemented in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Boleslawieckie County, within the limits of the above-mentioned municipality. Material scope: modernisation and extension of the rainwater management system in the Municipality of Bolesławiec. The project will have indirect costs. Only the Applicant will be responsible for its implementation. The investment is not a partnership project. The project is part of a larger investment in road construction. Under point. ‘Description of the existing(...)’ WoD indicates the steps so far completed and those remaining to be completed. The above-mentioned measures will allow the achievement of the main objective of “increased flood safety of the Municipality of Bolesławiec”. The beneficiary has adequate technical, financial and institutional resources to implement the project. It will be managed by a project team consisting of employees of the Bolesławiec Municipality Office with appropriate competences and experience. Selected works technology – the use of plastic pipes, due to their high durability, resistance to external factors and ease of installation. The investment concerns the use of natural or natural methods, because in the field of construction of rainwater (as part of the construction of roads with drainage of ul. Konradowska) provides for the discharge of water into the planned retention and evaporation reservoir, and then by emergency transfer to the existing drainage ditch. There are also two discharges from the rainwater system to the retention and absorbent reservoir and the discharge from the rainwater system to the reservoir with the flow regulator to the common sewer.
