Diabetes is one of the most important civilisation diseases in Poland and in Lower Silesia, responding to this problem, a project was prepared to increase the detection of type 2 diabetes and increase by 2023 the awareness among residents aged 35-64 from the WD Jeleniogórskie subregion regarding their high risk of developing type 2 diabetes mellitus and pre-diabetic condition through education, as well as the examination and medical consultation of 6000 people. The project will be implemented in accordance with the Regional Health Programme for the prevention and early detection of type 2 diabetes among residents of the Dolnośląskie Voivodeship through education and the examination and medical consultation of 6,000 people. The project will be implemented in accordance with the Regional Health Programme for the prevention and early detection of type 2 diabetes among residents of Dolnośląskie Voivodeship. As a result, the planned activities will lead to the examination of 6 000 people, resulting in an improvement in the labour market situation by reducing the number of prematurely incapacitated people and people with disabilities, as well as a reduction in the cost of absenteeism caused by illness. The project will start on 01.01.2021 and will last until 30.06.2023.
