Reducing low emissions by creating a network of cycle paths in Inowrocław – Stage II

Project entitled “Reduction of low emissions through the creation of a network of cycle paths in Inowrocław – Phase II” will be implemented in the city of Inowrocław (inowrocław district, municipal municipality of Inowrocław), in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship. The project will be implemented in the city and will consist of the construction or reconstruction of paths at ul. Construction, al. Roundabout, st. Gabriel Narutowicza and ul. It’s metallic. This project is the second stage of a larger project to reduce low emissions through the creation of a network of cycle paths in Inowrocław. The first part of the project started in 2017 when the City of Inowrocław signed a co-financing agreement for the project. It concerned the construction and reconstruction of cycle paths and cycle tracks with a total length of 1.3 km. The main objective of this project is to improve air quality by reducing emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases of anthropogenic origin as a result of actions to reduce the use of individual means of transport by car. Inowrocław is an important spa, tourist, recreational, cultural and industrial centre. Close to the center, in the western part of the city there is a recreation and spa complex created due to the presence of brines in this area. The sanatorium base with a wide treatment and hotel base is used in the treatment and rehabilitation of many diseases in more than 30,000 patients. For this reason, the city should meet the air standards for spa towns, however, exceed the limit values and targets for PM10 and PM2.5 particulate matter and ozone. Efforts to reduce communication pollution and low emissions should therefore be continued. It is expected that the implementation of the project will affect the choice of the bicycle as a means of transport by residents.
