The project has two main tasks: Participation of Lubuskie Voivodeship in the World Expo – Dubai 2020 in January 2022 and organisation of the Economic Congress in Lubuskie voivodship in October 2021. The aim of the Lubuskie region’s presence at EXPO in Dubai is to build the image of the region internationally through two components: economic and tourist promotion of the region. The economic component consists of: Economic mission with participation of Lubuskie SMEs and Conference in the Polish Pavilion during Expo. The mission involves business meetings (with institutions and organisations supporting entrepreneurship, innovation and international cooperation, e.g. Polish Business Group, ZBH PAIH Dubai, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Economy, Economic Zones, United Arab Emirates Space Agency, etc.), establishing business contacts for the construction, electrical, fashion, cosmetic, furniture, food, IT/ICT, machine industries. Economic conference in the Polish Pavilion with the participation of Lubuskie entrepreneurs operating in the UAE and invited guests from Dubai. The region will present its achievements on the Arab market, investments, scientific potential and new technologies. The tourist component assumes a wide promotion of Lubuskie nature. The natural wealth of Lubuskie voivodship fits perfectly into the idea of the Polish Pavilion. On an area of over 117 m², we will present for more than a week the Landscape Park “The Mużakowa Arch” and the National Park “Ejście Warty” as well as other landscape parks and vineyards. The Polish Pavilion refers to the richness of avifauna, and the floodplains and meadows of the National Park “Warta Estuary” are a significant place for birds on the map of Europe. The Mużakowski Park, as a historic cultural reserve, is a garden work of international importance, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
