The main objective of the project is “Development of the cultural infrastructure of Gorzów Wielkopolski through the reconstruction, modernisation and retrofitting of the three cultural institutions located in the city”. The implementation of the investment corresponds to the objectives, since the planned project will be designed to rebuild, modernise and retrofit cultural institutions under the responsibility of the Applicant and, as a result, to create a new and modern cultural infrastructure and to prepare a new cultural and educational offer for all social groups concerned. The results of the project will serve to achieve social and educational and thus economic benefits, both locally, nationally and internationally. As a result of the investment, a modern infrastructure will be created, adapted to the needs of the investment stakeholders. It is foreseen to adapt the facility at ul. Woolen Market 18 for cultural purposes intended for the City Centre of Culture, modernisation of the No. 3 Library and retrofitting of the Municipal Art Center. The implementation of the project will result in the Applicant having appropriate infrastructure to carry out statutory activities, including the dissemination of the region’s cultural heritage. The established infrastructure will make it possible to introduce a new and modern cultural and educational offer tailored to the needs of residents and tourists, and will increase access to cultural goods in terms of accessibility to the offer for people with disabilities. The concept of the activities of the cultural institutions supported is aimed at increasing the interest of the inhabitants of the cultural offer, by making it more attractive and extending it to new thematic areas and new target audiences.
